2022 CHARDONNAY
Geoff Weaver is that rarest of creatures, a winemaker of quiet modesty. He has always allowed his wines to speak for him, and they do so with a graceful eloquence. Working with one of the original vineyards on the cool slopes around Lenswood Weaver etches a wine of delicate stone fruit and citrus, with a fine seam of grilled nut and nougat.

“Dream Weaver”
While he is best known for the first of those guises, having built a highly honoured career both at the big end of town, as chief winemaker for the Hardy’s group back in the 1970s and early ’80s, and from then as one the finest artisan wine producers in the Adelaide Hills.

UNIQUE SOUTH AUSTRALIAN TERROIR
Over four decades Geoff has transformed a prime parcel of Adelaide Hills farmland into one of the region’s most celebrated vineyards. The property, bordered by apple orchards and found more than 500 metres above sea level, gives Geoff’s wine its signature cool-climate qualities.

CURATING OUR WINES FOR THE FUTURE
I’ve been honing my craft as a winemaker for the past forty years. It’s a pursuit that provides constant inspiration and pure joy as the unique traits of our terroir are captured in each bottle.
“Great wine matters like great art matters. It’s an expression of high cultural achievement in harmony with nature.”

RECOVERING FROM THE CUDLEE CREEK BUSHFIRE
We – like so many Australians – will remember the summer of 2019-20 for its devastating bushfires. Our vineyard was badly damaged by a fire that began near Cudlee Creek on 20 December 2019. Today we can see many signs of progress. While much of the property’s native bushland and about 40 per cent of its vines continue to recover, this treasured pocket of the Adelaide Hills has kept all its magic.
